This policy explains what AI Caption Generator (captionkar.com) does with your information. In short: your video never leaves your device.
1. Your video and audio
When you pick a video, it opens only inside your browser. Speech recognition (turning speech into words) and creating the captioned video both happen on your device. We do not upload, store or share your video, its audio or its captions on any server.
2. Data stored on your device
To keep the tool fast, your browser storage (Cache/IndexedDB/localStorage/private file storage) keeps: the speech engine and Hindi AI model files (so they don't download again), a temporary copy of the video you picked, your favourite templates, language choice and last style settings. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
3. Login
To use the caption tool you sign in with Google (free). Reading this website does not need a login. When you sign in with Google, sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and we receive your name, email, profile photo and a user ID. We use them to link your favourites and style to your account. If cloud sync is enabled, only your favourites and style settings are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) — never your video. To delete your account data, email us.
4. Anonymous usage statistics
To understand how the site is used and fix problems, we count anonymous totals per day in Google Firebase (Firestore): page views, visits, new vs returning visitors, how many videos were opened, captions made and videos saved, caption language, which templates and filters were used, video length (rounded), device type (mobile/desktop), the phone's time zone, the website you came from (e.g. Google, Instagram) and short error messages with browser version. A random visitor ID is kept only in your browser's localStorage so a visitor is counted once per day; it is not sent with your name or email. We never collect your video, audio, file names or caption text for statistics. You can clear this ID at any time by clearing your browser data.
5. Cookies and advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. More: How Google uses data from partner sites.
6. Third-party services

- jsDelivr / unpkg / Hugging Face (free hosting of the engine, 3D library and model files)
- Google Firebase (sign-in, and anonymous usage counts)

These services may see basic technical data such as your IP address in their server logs, under their own privacy policies.
7. Children
This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

1. Aapki video aur awaaz
Jab aap video chunte hain, wo sirf aapke browser ke andar khulti hai. Speech recognition (awaaz se shabd) aur captioned video banana — dono aapke device par hote hain. Hum aapki video, uski awaaz ya captions kisi server par upload, store ya share nahi karte.
2. Device par save hone wali cheezein
Tool ko fast banane ke liye browser storage (Cache/IndexedDB/localStorage) mein ye save hota hai: speech engine aur Hindi AI model files (taaki dobara download na ho), aapke favourite templates aur last style settings. Ye aap browser settings se kabhi bhi clear kar sakte hain.
3. Login
Caption tool use karne ke liye Google se sign in karna hota hai (free). Website padhne ke liye login nahi chahiye. Jab aap Google se login karte hain, to login Google Firebase Authentication ke through hota hai, aur hume aapka naam, email, profile photo aur ek user ID milta hai. Isse hum aapke favourites aur style ko aapke account se jodte hain. Agar cloud sync on ho, to sirf favourites aur style settings Google Firebase (Firestore) mein save hote hain — video kabhi nahi. Account data hatwane ke liye humein email karein.
4. Anonymous usage statistics
Site kaise use ho rahi hai ye samajhne aur problems theek karne ke liye hum Google Firebase (Firestore) mein roz ke anonymous totals ginte hain: page views, visits, naye ya wapas aane wale visitors, kitni videos kholi gayin, kitne captions bane aur kitni videos save huin, caption language, kaun se templates aur filters use hue, video ki length (round karke), device type (mobile/computer), phone ka time zone, aap kis website se aaye (jaise Google, Instagram) aur browser version ke saath chhote error messages. Ek random visitor ID sirf aapke browser ke localStorage mein rehta hai taaki ek visitor din mein ek hi baar gina jaaye; ye aapke naam ya email ke saath nahi bheja jaata. Statistics ke liye hum aapki video, awaaz, file ke naam ya caption ka text kabhi nahi lete. Browser data clear karke aap ye ID kabhi bhi hata sakte hain.
5. Cookies aur ads
Website par third-party vendors, jaise Google, cookies ka use karke ads dikha sakte hain — aapke is site ya dusri sites par pichle visits ke basis par. Google ki advertising cookies ka use Google aur uske partners ko aapko ads dikhane deta hai.
